Chef Kdn Lyne

Kdn grew up on an organic farm near the Glasshouse Mountains in Queensland, Australia and developed a passion for growing and cooking food from an early age. After starting his apprenticeship at age 14, and then at age 16 he moved to Sydney and began his career in fine dining under internationally acclaimed chef Dietmar Sawyere, learning techniques used in French gastronomy, Japanese presentation and fusion cuisine. Over the past 15 years as a chef he has broadened his repertoire working in some of Australia’s best restaurants, and in 2005 he decided to take his skills and start a career on yachts. Over the years Kdn has had extensive experience catering for a range of dietary needs as well as creating delicious healthy spa menus. In 2009 Kdn won the annual Concours de Chef competition in Antigua highlighting his cooking talent and ability to create Award winning menus. In his free time he enjoys surfing, diving, snowboarding, cooking and dining out.

Chef Kdn Lyne has a flair for serving up a ‘feast for the senses’ where every dish is presented as a mouthwatering work of art. He has a flair for combining French and Italian cuisine with local ingredients and using flavors from time spent living in Indonesia, Vietnam and Sri Lanka and is passionate about using fresh, local and organic produce.
